PROPERTY
Under a blanket of snow, our driveway transforms into a picturesque winter landscape. Shuttle rides are a short trip through the stunning, tranquil scenery of frosted evergreens.
Shuttle seats four guests, with trunk space available for luggage.
Shuttle service available year-round upon request.
The Blackridge Cabin is located on our secluded, private property, right on the edge of Kootenai National Forest. Our driveway winds one mile up the mountain. Even the drive up is beautiful— as you approach our front gate, take a look at the diversity of plants and animals that share the mountain with us!
A PRIVATE RETREAT
Kip and Jennifer live in a log home on-property, however, the cabin is a completely separate structure from our home, and additional privacy is offered with landscaping and fencing that obscures the cabin from view of the main house. The yard, deck, and hot tub area are located behind the cabin, for guest use only and completely out of sight.
Guests can reach us by phone at any time during your stay. Otherwise, we typically only see our guests once during check-in!
We recommend viewing the aerial maps on this page to see the layout of structures on our property.
If you have questions regarding the property, its layout, or anything else, please contact us!
GETTING HERE
Before check-in, guests will receive an email with arrival instructions. Due to the remote nature of our location, GPS navigation may lose signal in the area. Kip and Jennifer will stay in contact with you before check-in to assist your arrival.
WINTER
In winter, four-wheel drive is a necessity in North Idaho, due to snow and icy road conditions. Please be aware of this when booking a stay in the winter season, or between the months of December and March.
To prioritize the safety of our guests, guest vehicles may be parked at the driveway entrance in winter conditions, or at our discretion in any extreme weather. Shuttle service to and from the cabin is provided for no additional fee.
DRIVEWAY
The driveway is a gravel road that follows the natural topography of the mountain. The terrain is natural dirt and rock that is maintained regularly.
Please see the aerial view of the driveway pictured on this page!
